Our experience was a great one!! Drinks, appetizers, and food was delicious. Our waitress was friendly, funny, plus manager stopped by to see if everything was ok/good. My personal favorites were the sliders and pulled pork nachos. Had a yummy passion fruit cocktail that was refreshing and just tasty. Overall great BBQ with delicious sides. Definitely should try this place if you haven't yet.

We visited Gus' on Memorial Day towards the end of the night. It had been a rough day for us, and I just really wanted some good BBQ. Immediately, we found out they're out of brisket, which wasn't great, but it made sense because the place is absolutely packed! I shrugged and assumed I'd find something else that was good. The ambiance feels like a very bougie cafeteria, which for BBQ in California, it seems to fit. The crowd is friendly, definitely a nightlife vibe, but not so loud you can't have a conversation. We sadly found when we got to the table that they were out of a lot of their meats and I had to forego my rib craving. I figured it was my bad since I came in late on a holiday. Our waitress Reyna saw the sadness on my face, though, and I have to say she was a complete superstar!! To make us feel better, she was incredibly kind and patient, making suggestions of alternatives I might like. In the end, we had the deviled egg appetizer, brick bbq chicken, smoked sausage, garlic potatoes, Mac n cheese, braised greens, sweet tea, and cornbread. The food was all delicious, it's not diet by any means, but that's not what you want from comfort food, right? Large portions with enough for leftovers. They had the best greens I've tasted in a long time, and the meat came out the perfect temp and very juicy. My only sadness was that I wish the deviled eggs came in an even number, they were so good I felt bad stealing the last one from my bf. Definitely loved the seasoning in those eggs, it tastes like mesquite. In the end we had a great evening thanks to our waitress. She always had more tea for me despite how fast I went through it, and even sent me home with a to-go cup as it was the end of the night. Despite being one of very few staff and the place being slammed, she remained so nice it really made my night better. I just wanted to say thank you, and we'll be back again!

It was time to try some items from the Happy Hour menu at Gus's Barbecue, located at the Vineyards in Porter Ranch. I started off with the Deviled Eggs. You get three pieces for $4. They were perfectly done, nice flavor in the yolk, the whites not over done and topped with bacon and condiments. They enticed my eyes and melted in my mouth. Then came the Rib Sliders. Essentially pulled barbecued beef, 3 small burgers, all of which were received well at the table. Finally, the Nashville Hot Tots. The item consists of freshly fried tator tots with a topping of Nashville Dust (probably Nashville Hot sauce with a dry powder), green onions, Queso and applewood smoked bacon (generous quantities). This was a spicy dish that had a good kick and was a hit at the table. All the condiments blended well with the potatoes. All in all, a tasty and satisfying visit.

20-25 minute wait on a Friday night, not too bad. Seating is great and waitstaff were nice and helpful. We ordered appetizers as entrees as they were pretty huge in portion. I'm not the biggest fan of bbq but the sliders were nice and juicy. Pork was flavorful. I liked that there were crispy onions in the sliders. The selection of bbq sauces was great. I wished the Mac and cheese was more flavorful. The only other american bbq I've had in my life was this really great Texas bbq so by comparison it's obviously a huge difference. Over all 8/10 in dining experience and 7/10 in food.

Came on a Saturday afternoon, and even though the parking lot is huge i did have to actively find a spot. I made a reservation and got sat immediately The jelly on the cornbread is crazy good! Never would've crossed my mind at home ever. Definitely wanted to finish the pan myself. Cream corn is fire! Might be my favorite appetizer out of the two The chicken had a funny after taste but i think it was just burnt the sauce they cooked it with wasn't for meonly thing i thought wasn't delicious. My grandmas all American burger was better than your average. Whatever they did to it it worked Service was great between the two waiters

Nice environment in a pretty location. The service is great. Our server was very humble and nice person, his name was with "P" ... can't remember exactly. The food was delicious. It really comes in a pretty big portion. The main dishes, even the breakfast you can definitely share . We had a good experience, and I really recommend Gus's BBQ

Gus' bbq is always packed especially on the weekends. Solid place for some bbq. Nice interior and outside areas for dining. Decent beer selection. I got the lemonade which they make in house. Its sour and sweet. Quite refreshing and helps cut back all this meat you're about to intake. Cornbread with butter and jalapeno jelly is always good. The butter can be a bit on the hard almost frozen side. Deviled eggs are almost always a ust get. THey top with chives and bacon. Salt mix for extra seasoning. I've been here a few times and always get the brisket and ribs. This time I opted for the picnic platter which is a large feast for one. This can easily be split for two. The fried chicken is a hefty chicken thigh I believe. It comes with gravy too. The baby back ribs and brisket were tender but a bit over cooked. Making the eat kind of dry. The different bbq sauces go well with the meats and add for a variety of flavor. The mashed potatoes were good. The bbq beans have pinto, kidney and black beans. Little on the sweet side and kind of smokey.

First time visiting Gus's BBQ. What a treat this restaurant is. Great atmosphere, great service, and menu items that are very very good. I had the peppercorn crusted tri tip and was quite impressed. But as good as the tri tip was, the cornbread, dirty rice, and the worlds best creamed corn just made everything perfect. Off the hook, to quote you know who. Our server Oliver was not only friendly, but super attentive and extremely polite, a real pleasure in this day and age. Our orders were placed, the food delivered in a timely fashion, and everything was just as requested, no adjustments were needed. I know I was not the only member of our group to be impressed by this. We will definitely return.
